A Legal Journey
Janie's legal journey began as an intern at the Public Defender's Office and the District Attorney's Office in Chester County. She also gained valuable experience as an intern for the Honorable Katherine B. L. Platt in the Common Pleas Family Court. As a certified child advocate and trained mediator, Janie brings a unique perspective to her practice. She has even shared her expertise as an adjunct professor at Drexel University, teaching higher education and the law. With an undergraduate and graduate degree in psychology, Janie's background in psychology enhances her effectiveness as an attorney. She has delivered public speeches on resilience, strategic thinking, and communications, drawing on her prior career at a company founded on the principles of Dr. Martin Seligman, PhD.

Beyond her legal achievements, Janie actively engages in volunteer work. She has served as a volunteer attorney for the Support Center for Child Advocates in Philadelphia for twelve years, six of which she was a member of the Board. She has been a past board member of the Drexel University Parents' Council. Janie is a strong supporter of the YMCA, a cause close to her heart as her father was a long-standing member of fifty years. Her dedication to positively impacting her community was recognized when she received the prestigious Distinguished Advocate Award in 2018 from the Support Center for Child Advocates.

Additionally, Janie is currently enrolled in the Charles Widger School of Law at Villanova University, pursuing an LLM degree in taxation. On a personal note, Janie is the mother of three college athletes and a passionate advocate for pickleball. She actively referees matches, is on the national registry to teach and serves as an ambassador for USA Pickleball.
